The county's indigent fund is responsible for the first $10,000 of an indigent's health care, after this the state pays the rest. I believe the CAT fund is fully funded by the state's general funds. If this fine could be used to offset general funding, it would help the state of the Idaho in particular education, health/welfare. Joe, Danielo, and Jeb if you don't want to wear your seat belt- a-OK with me- your choice but with your choice comes your responsibility to PAY for all consequences associated with your choice. If everyone was responsible for themselves, we wouldn't need this, but that isn't the case.

An error occurred while saving the comment NOITALL2010 commentedLeave the $5/month parking fee alone. Instead of having state employees shoulder yet another increased cost, how about contracting with Car Park or one of the other parking lot companies and charge the public to use these parking spaces for after hours and weekend usage. A prime spot is the parking lot to the west and east of the capital. Lets not make this a commuting issue but rather a discussion on how to utilize our resources wisely.

An error occurred while saving the comment NOITALL2010 commentedCurrently, unless a company has a brick/mortar presence in the state of Idaho, they do not have to collect sales tax on internet items.
Internet sales tax is a much broader topic than Idaho. Several states are working on this very issue.
