An error occurred while saving the comment Akazungu commentedAh yes, income taxes. Yet another tax that were originally billed as “temporary’ (to help rebuild the post civil war South) and became permanent. Temporary taxes never are. We should be working towards the elimination of income taxes and back toward the founding fathers’ idea that the role of government is for law enforcement and little else.

An error occurred while saving the comment Akazungu commentedThis option would not only incrrease revenue to the State, it would result in a tremendous reduction in case load for; courts, public defenders, police, and prisons - all resulting in huge savings in the judicial/corrections sector of government.
The longer we keep raising taxes when times are tough, the bigger government will get. Government should get smaller all the time, but if we can’t do that let’s at least make it smaller in the lean times.
