Discontinue food stamps and initiate free commodoties
Since food stamps/quest card are notoriously abused and misused (selling the card at a price less than the value and purchasing non-essential groceries like soda and candy) I believe that the truly needy/hungry could gain the benefit of being fed if the state distributed food commodoties such as rice, beans and cheese etc.

Totally agree! Why do we make it so wonderful to be on medicaid! I think it should be "uncomfortable" to be on welfare then maybe the "abusers" will think about self worth and teach their children that it is available if necessary not a life time benefit for laziness.

disagree, the economy is really bad right now and there are many small business's that are still in business today becasue of Food Stamps. Small butcher shops, are a good example.
